It’s Not You. It’s Your Infrastructure.
Roses are red,
Worklists don’t clear,
You signed the report
So, why is it still here?
Roses are red,
Radiologists are tired,
It’s time for bed
But you’re burned out and wired
Roses are red,
AI makes promises,
That sometimes feels dead..
And now there are consequences
This Valentine’s Day, we need to have a talk. Radiology is under significant pressure as volumes are rising, burnout is real, and AI is everywhere. You’ve been told that it’s cloud-based or integrated, but hosting legacy software in a virtual machine isn’t modernization. It’s just more noise.
As we discussed in our recent panel with leaders from Stanford, Mount Sinai, and Sirona, AI can’t deliver meaningful value inside broken infrastructure. It can’t reason across images, priors, reports, and workflow state if those things live in five different systems.
Meaningful AI requires a unified architecture. So, maybe this year, it’s time to break up with:
- Servers in the basement
- Integrations that increase downtime risk
- Capital refresh cycles that never feel refreshing
- AI tools that add clicks instead of reducing work
This Valentine’s Day, break up with old infrastructure. Swipe right on unified platforms — the foundation for meaningful AI.
Happy Valentine’s Day from Sirona!
